Most unforgettable birthing experience ever!!

 

Expecting my third little blessing, I was very nervous because this time around I knew I wanted to have a natural birth without an epidural. I didn't know if I would actually be able to go through with it but I wanted to try. LaToya was referred to me by a coworker and I decided to give her a call.  Best decision I've ever made. She gave me full support from the time we met, through the birth of my child and still now! With her support, knowledge, wonderful massage techniques, music therapy and laughter I was able to get through labor.

 

LaToya was the perfect labor companion.  She knew what I wanted and what my goal was and she helped me focus on achieving it.  By the time my daughter was born I couldn't believe it. All I kept saying was, "I DID IT! I DID IT!" I was so proud of myself and I knew I couldn't have done it without my Doula. The difference between this birth and my previous experiences is that I remember EVERYTHING! Since I wasn't medicated I was fully aware of everything going on and I now know and appreciate the feeling of giving birth to my beautiful baby girl. I wish I could've had this experience for all of my children. Having her there was  the best decision ever made.
