During Delivery

 

 

During delivery, your doula is your birthing “personal assistant”.  Whether acting as liaison between you and medical staff, running interference with in-laws, doing massage and hip compressions for mom, fetching ice, water, and snacks for everyone, or helping dad remain calm and focused when tensions run high, your doula is there to serve.  

 

Her job is to bring a sense of calm to a situation that can otherwise be overwhelming, and handle anything that pops up so that both mom and dad can have a safe environment to focus on the amazing experience of the birth of their child.
