My Doula Philosophy

I believe childbirth is a journey a woman takes within herself that transforms her into a mother. It can be seen as a right of passage. I trust that women know how to birth and that as a doula I can help them achieve their desired birth. Whether it be a medicated or natural birth. My goal is to support, educate, encourage, and comfort. I believe that partners should be as involved as possible, because I see birth as an emotional and spiritual experience for them as well. They are becoming a parent, too.
